Opinions on Byerly Legacy wakeboard

Anyone have a chance to check out the new 2007 Legacy wakeboard? It looks pretty sweet, but no one has them yet around here. Several shops already have the other 2007 Hyperlite stuff, but no Legacy yet.

Saw them at expo. They are sharp looking boards. They have a syntheyic leather top. And are suppose to have a softer landing. Cool

I think they will be realy hot this year. We have not orderd any yet though.

Nike still makes Jordans?

I beleive Jordan is its own company now seperate from nike. However Nike is still the "parent" company.

Jordan is it's own label, still a Nike product. Just like Byerly is now it's own label but still a Hyperlite product. There is no Nike swoosh on Jordan's and there is no Hyperlite HL on the Byerly, but they are still the same company.

Anyways, has anyone ridden or heard about the Legacy board and how it performs? I am considering ordering one on-line if I can't get one locally anytime soon.

I guess everryone else likes them, but I think the square tip/tail on the new byerly is fugly.

The squared tip/tail is for the functionality of the board, not aesthetics.

there's lots of boards that function amazingly that look good too. I think the square tip is just an oldschool hangup, byerly's still living in his heyday.

from what I have seen his new board looks more like the 2003 byerly which is one of the best boards ever made IMO.

Place special orders for Legacy series at specialty shops.. none of the Byerly stuff will be sold at big chain stores like sports authority and stuff.

well the same is true for the Legacy Wakeskates. And he still rides a ton... We just keep it secret. he got tired of making everyone look bad Very Happy

muckmeister, dunno if this helps, but byerly told me (at surf expo) that he still wakeboards but he does more wakeskating.

jumalian, i watched some video ( or read a mag) and I remember somebody ( not sure who) stating he never straps anymore, and that this footy was a rare occasion for him to be strapped.

he seems like a good guy.
