Which board is faster? the Liquid Force Team or the LF Watson?

Man, tough question. I've ridden both, but I've only gotten a chance on the 05 team for 2 sets (I assume it's the same shape). But I'd have to give the edge hold and speed to the Watson.
Hopefully someone that has ridden the 06 can speak up and correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm just going to contribute on what I've seen from both.
Ride that other Shane you said you have.

gotcha, ya my friend mike broke that shane, so we are making a bench out of the two, i broke mine on wake, he broke his on slider...

In my experiance the team is way faster hands down. Nothing against the Watson, but the team is more of an all around board in my opinion and happens to be faster as well.

The team should inherently be faster, as it's acontinuous rocker, but the watson is by no means slow for a 3 stage board. Ps3's are pretty fast for a 3 stager too.

| Ive ridden both but its been a while since I rode the team but I think the team was faster. As said before, its a continuous rocker and 6 fin set up. (I know the watson kind of is but the team has the cupped fins which have more hold and drive than a molded fin) The LF Balance was supposed to be a super fast board but its not made anymore I dont think. The whole bottom was covered in channels and fins. |

You're right about the Team being way faster. However, your comment that the Watson lands with a "hard, un-cerimonious thud" destroys all credibility you may have had. The Watson is one of the softest landing boards you can ride. I've never ridden the Marius so perhaps it does land softer but I've never ridden a softer landing board than the Watson.
Out of the liquid force boards I've ridden, the Team is definately the fastest, PS3 is a very fast board for a 3 stage, then the Watson, then Substance. (Only 4 LF boards I've ridden) |

Epic, you said it man. I don't know how you can think the watson lands hard. and as for LF boards, the shane is in about the same speed range as the PS3 and Watson. kinda funny that LF is making all these boards with nearly identical properties on the water...

well i got the team so if i get a quick ride in today, so i can just ride it til i can demo all ronix and new stuff... may just stick with the team, depends on how it rides

Definately, when the LF rep was here I remember him telling me if you rode the Shane, PS3 and Watson on 3 different days and couldn't actually SEE the board you were riding, you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference between any of them. I've never ridden the Shane but Watson and PS3 have VERY subtle differences. |

Marius is softer than watson but it's like riding a garage door. Watson "clowns" the marius IMO. So there!
