First off, I am not asking which bindings is best for me, only if people have had good or bad experiences with either of them.

I have narrowed my choice down to either 06 LF Transits or 06 HL Murrays. My main concern is I want a binding that really locks my feet down into place but don't want somethign that is going to break after one season. I currently have 05 Byerlys and like the Boa system but don't love it so I could go either way. I have tried both on and they both feel good but riding is a different story. It's too cold here in canada to ride now so I can't demo them, plus their are great deals on ebay so I thought I'd buy them now so I have them for spring. I am just looking for opinions or experiences both positive or negative with both boots.

You can't go wrong either way. I have the 06 transits and been riding with them all year with not a single problem (ride 3-4 times a week). Very comfy, just the right stiffness. My brother in law has the Murrays and loves them as well. He's only ridden a few times with them but still no problems. Guess I'm not really helping but in a nutshell, they're both great.

I have the 2006 Transits, have had them for 3 months, no problems except the baseplate screws come undone, I have to tighten them like every 2 hours or so that I spend riding. I'm trading them in for some 2007 boots as soon as they release them.

While I have never RIDDEN the 06 Murrays, I tried them on in the shop and they are great boots (not as good as the Transits IMO) They're comfy, supportive, I looooove the boa system, and they really just look tight. But the boa system breaks often and they rip alot, according to some of my friends who are on their 3rd or 4th pair of them.

It's up to you, but I'd go 2006/2007 Transits any day of the week if my shop had any more left in my size. Crying or Very sad

The transits are more supportive than the new closed toed murrays. and for me, the boa knob on the front presses against my shin and is kinda uncomfortable, but all bindings break in, so its up to you. both are great bindings.

Thanks for the opinions guys. Does anyone know which binding is lighter? I found my 05 Byerlys to be kind of heavy.

I have both but i have 05 murrays and 06 transits, and i like everything about the transits better. The murrays have that BOA twist thing on the front witch is cool, but breaks sometimes and is a pain to put back together, and i think the transits are more comfortable and easier to get on.

WattsBarRiDr, the 06 murrays are considerabley different than the 05's, the 05's suck imo. they are hard to get into, and have too much support in the wrong places and the not enough in the tight places. The 06's are more mobile, and way more comfortable.
