...besides the 03 X-Star, if you have a bow filler in your X-Star, could you let me know where you got it and how you like it.
Plus, how does it install...if you have any pics, that would be great.
thanks. |

Not sure about the '03, but the 2002 Bow Filler seat cushion for the X-Star was a giant piece of sturdy foam with the cusion on top. You wouldn't be able to store anything under it.
The cushion for the X-10 is different, it sits on rails up front and has storage space underneath. |

| i dont understand the difference you are talking about. what do you mean? i just ordered a bow filler seat cushion for my '02 and its a piece of hard type of plastic that a cushion rests on, but there is room underneath. mine sits on rails that you are talking about. what is the other one you are talking about? i wonder what i got. |

mossy,
The X-Star at my dealer had the bow filler cushion that had a large piece of foam or plastic filler that went all the way to the floor that the cushion rested on.
For my X-10, it sits on a board that rests on rails and has storage space underneath.
Perhaps my dealer had an old filler cushion??? |

well, i am kinda confused right now
right now, my cushion sits a few (probably 2) inches higher than my regualr seats. so i am wondering if i have an x10 cushion in my xstar
but here is how they did it
the piece of plastic rests on the cup holders and on two braces (i guess you could call them cleats) towards the walk through that were mounted into the fiberglass. then, the cushion sits on the piece of plastic
i am gonna have to find out about the different heights though
maybe cause its brand new, not sure. i hope they didnt put a x10 cushion in my xstar though.
could someone check to see if their cleats are screwed into anything on the backside of the fiberglass, or if it's just into the fiberglass |

an x10 cushion shouldnt fit in the x star,
we have a maristar 210, and we looked at an x2 this weekend it is much more narrow in the walkway, so I would be suprised if it would fit. |

mossy, yeah the X-10 cushion wouldn't fit in the XStar.
It is probably higher because that cushion is new. You may want to try and take the cushion out and keep some weight on it to flatten it out a little. I would rather do that than remove and lower the braces.
I think the braces (cleats) are bolted from the inside to the fiberglass.
I will check mine this weekend while up at the lake and let you know. |

| yea, i was thinking it is because its new also. i definitely wouldnt take out the 2 braces. the braces make it sit level anyway. the plastic piece is already resting on the 2 cupholders, so i wouldnt be able to change anything. i will use it for a few trips out and if it doesnt start to flatten out, maybe i will try laying some weight on it like you suggested. |
