|
|
I have been riding on a hypelite parks 144 for the past two years. Its been a good board but i am thinking of getting a new one. Im not going to act like i know a lot about equipment so i thought i would get some advice. I am 6' 5'' weigh about 218. I can do w2w easily and can get w2w 180 most of the time. I am getting ready to try 360s and backrolls most likely next season.
Recommend me a board and bindings. Reasonably priced. I dont want the top of the line new models. That doesnt do anything for me.
thanks |

just curious as to why you say this? I ride a 3ds, can get a w2w 180 50% of the time? just wanted to hear your thoughts. Thanks. |

What size board do you guys think? I dont see anything wrong with my 144 but i was talking to someone who said a smaller board might be better for trying the 3's and flips. Would that be correct?
As far as what i want......i think height/spring would benefit me the most. Like I said I am not very familiar with how much of a difference a board can make in those types of things.
Someone mentioned that I look at the liquid force ps3 pro board. anyone have any comments on that? |

///KE B()/R|)ER, That board's *the PS3* super fast and loose, with a pretty wild pop. you might do better starting on say an omega, or a state. _________________

sorry im late on this but the parks and 3DS boards are way fast and give some crazy pop for a beginner. id suggest something more pointed at beginers.

I was thinking of the 3DS also, I'ts a great board, and though it is more of a length board you can still get killer pop You can also try the Premier it is designed for more pop. Try and demo some if you can _________________ In God We Trust

hyyperlitesonofabitch, Oh yeah, I know I was comparing it to the PS3 for a beginner. The state would be a much better board to progress on partly because it isn't uncontrollable fast, like the PS3 might be for a noob _________________

LakeIolaLuke, ah. you are correct. better for a beginner than PS3.
but then again what kind of water-head would buy a pro model board if he/she was a beginner? |

///KE B()/R|)ER,
I'd recommend the O'Brien Natural. I went from a Parks to the Natural and loved the feeling. I lost nothing and gained a much more forgiving board. I went from landing backrolls about 40% of the time to now 90% of the time. Plus I find the Natural so much better for surface tricks. It's easily the most fun board I've ever been on and beginners to expert riders who have ridden mine have loved it too. |

http://ridewatersports.stores.yahoo.net/20na144wawia.html
is this a good deal for the obrien natural? Seems like a steal since it includes bindings as well.......anyone else have an opinion on the natural?
And for clarification.....should i stick with the 144 or try a 139? thanks |

That's a good price, but it is a blemwakeboard I would want to see it first, seeing that it is a Blem. It might be nothing noticable, but then again it might be. _________________ In God We Trust
