|
|
Hello,
I tried my hand at the kicker last weekend, and didn't land any. My question is does anyone have any tips on how to get it?
Thanks,

make sure your flat on your board when on the kicker, leaning on any of the edges will kick the board out from under you. bend your knees a bit when first getting on the kicker and extend them at the top of the ramp to get more air. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |

| On the videos they show bringing the handle down to your waist for a jump. Is that the same for a kicker? |

Keep your knees bent. you can still edge onto a kicker if youre doing som sort of toeside inverted trick just not too much...if youre spinning hit it flat. Keep the rope into your hip for spins. theres not much else to kickers. practice makes perfect, good luck. |

There was no body at the cable park last weekend, so I was able to get what felt like 30+ pulls. After about 6 more falls, I finally landed right side up. I think the key was keeping the handle in towards your waist.
Thanks,

| is it possible to go off the side of a kicker even if you keep your board flat? because the kicker is quite high and i don't think i can handle the whole height of the jump. |

It's possible, but not the smartest thing to do, because youre not leaving the kicker at an even angle, just go for the whole thing and see what happens. If you fall and get hurt, don't do it again untill you have the board control you need. Most likely you will do fine and make it, then keep doing it....just keep your knees bent and the handle in and you should be fine |

Yeah I have only been going there for the last couple of months, but have a lot of fun. Once I get a little more comfortable catching air on the ramp, I really want to learn to do a Raley. So maybe you can give me some tips more tips later. |

CptanPanic, Raley's are much less painful to learn off a kicker at a cable park. Just edge like hell and let your feet fly out the back. The board comes back down on it's own, you don't need to "break the handle over your knee" or any of that. _________________

many overlook the difficulty of cable, but raley off a kicker is always gonna be easier than behind boat....not raley in the flats though and they hurt like hell |
