I'm getting a new set up for next year. My bindings I have recently purchased are the 2006 Zeus Hinge. I don't know what board I should get is between the 2007 Transcend or the Ronix 1. Transcend has the past to back up its performance but I see good things for Ronix. What do you guys think? Also, I'm not getting this just because. I will be joining a collegiate team next year so I will need a board that I will be able to compete in competitions with.

yeh, were in the same boat. (no pun intended) i live in Tuscaloosa alabama (football-ville) and the closest thing we got to a board shop is Academy Sports. Even if they had good boards they wouldnt let you demo. So basically i picked Shaun Murray as a cool guy and decided to buy a Temet 2 years ago. I bought the 06 Murray at the beginnin of this year so thats really all i know. im going all the way to orlando to demo some ronix/CWB stuff to decide what i want for 07. it sucks. But good luck on findin a good one. from what i hear, those Zues's are crazy good.
the only thing i can suggest is make a list of what qualities you want in a board, serch around and read the specs, pick out a few that sound good, and then ask people that they think about em on here.

I think thats my best bet. Since no one really has either board yet I may just have to wait until the start of next season for people to review them. But I don't think I went wrong with the Zeus boots. Very Happy

according to one of Ronix's amateur riders, Ronix boards will only be compatable with Ronix boots. and Vice Versa.

actually I was at OWC the other day and a guy had harfs ronix board but not ronix bindings. I want to say he was riding in cwbs but i dont remember. But i do remember they were not ronix bindings. I thought it was weird that someone would already have that board but then not be rockin the same bindings or atleast 06 or 07 hype bindings

Rainther45, huh. well keep in mind this is the same guy that told me that all the Ronix's would be 100% CF, $1200 for JUST each board, and a whole load of other crap. So yeah I would DEFFINATELY believe that it's BS.

so do you think this means that the Ronix boots are going to be universal?

It looks like Ronix is going to have their version of LFs proplate rather than the claw lock that all the hype stuf has

RC, will I see you on MTV tomorrow night on Two-A-Days?

Hoover plays Tuscaloosa. Cool show... Very Happy

River_Rider, In all honesty, you will probably be more than happy with either board because you wouldn't realize what else is out there that you could be missing.

I went from an '03 Blindside Continuous rocker board to the '06 LF PS3 and i absolutely love it. However in 4 or 5 more years, if the watson is still around and im ready for a new board, i may give it a shot.

But there are just so many boards to choose without demoing.

If your eager for a new set-up, then get the 07 transcend. If you want the ronix, i would wait around a bit, read some reviews, and then make your final decision. But you'll more than likely be happy either way.

You couldn't have made a better choice in bindings. As for boards I have a Watson, and will not be changing boards for quite some time. I love my whole set up all the way around.

ps: The watsons take about 10 rides to break them in.

I like my 2006 Watson. I might get lighter boots, but the board is fine.

Blindside_137, I hate that show. Unfortunately I was on it too. I played at Nease. We were the first game against them on ESPN.

I'm already riding the 07 Transcend. And love it. The fin extensions really make for a customized ride. Like if you need more bight on your switch stance ride you can have it while leaving you regular edge looser. It also is great if your toeside edge is weaker than your healside. The pop is also better than the 06, which i also have, and it also rides faster. Can't say anything about the Ronix boards, but I'm sure they will be solid as well.
