wake 2 wake

this is my 1st summer of wakeboarding (26 years old). i'm still having a very hard time getting enough air for a wake to wake.

ollies, ollie 180, surface 180s are pretty easy for me.

any suggestions?

i ride on a 75 foot rope. is that counter-productive?

In reference to your rope length, it might be too long, it might not be...it depends on what your wake looks like. In order to learn w2w, some people will shorten their rope length so the wake is narrower where they cross...thus less distance to make it w2w. You might want to give that a try. Personally, I would try and find the best spot in your wake to be, and stay there. I think the most important things to focus on are staying on edge through the wake, and make sure you are doing a progressive edge, not just going balls out fast into the wake. Hope that helps...I'm sure there are plenty of people that can give you better advice.

your probably going to need to shorten your rope up a decent amount until you get the feeling of what you need to do to get wake to wake... get your progressive edge down and make sure your boat is at a speed that gives you a nice (no whitewash) wake right where you are going to cross

shortening the rope will make W2W infinitively easier. the closer you are to the boat, the thinner the wakes are. Speed up a tad and they'll get a little thinner.
