Help on sliders-cable!

Ok,these weekend was my first time hitting a slider. Well i just went for it a couple times,than after swimming for a long time,i decided to stop The slider is on the outside of the cable. The problem is,i always get pulled of the slider by the cable. What am i doing wrong,any advice on how to stay on?

make sure to edge into the rail, do a small ollie to get on then let go with the hand opposite of the cable one on the rail you want to lean a slight bit in the direction opposite of the cable.
So if you edge out to the right you want to lean a little to the right and vice versa.

you can also try a little lower stance lowering your center of gravity will help you balance.
