|
|
I have landed 5 out of 50 backrolls this summer and my first two were three months ago, another one was about 1 and a half months ago, and the last two were like 3 weeks ago and they were back to back which i thought was awesome(for me anyways) so i am very non-consistent, but anyways i never see the water and they say that you should see the water very early in the trick so you can "spot your landing", does seeing the water help a lot and should i extend with my knees agressively at the top of the wake for more air?
any tips? |

just look over your lead shoulder and wha-la! water! now spot your landing and land that biatch. I haven't landed them but I've thrown plenty of them and you CAN spot your landing very early. not as early as a tantrum, but early enough. The handle just slips out of my hand on the landings. |

It sounds like you're not getting enough pop, and rotating the flip at a very fast pace. I know what you're saying when you can't see the water, I went through the same feeling when I first started to do them. But now that I have them dialed I noticed that I pop a lot higher than I used to which allows me to rotate the flip much slower. Keep at them, but after awhile you will learn where your body position needs to be leaving the wake to get optimal pop.
A video would help a lot to see, that way we could see what you're doing wrong. _________________ Neuston Boards

well i watched some videos of me and first of all i let go with my backhand right as i start to rotate and the handle goes above my head while i am upside down and also on the video my head is tucked into my chest.
but you are right as i land on the water it is like i am still rotating because i am spinning so fast |
