Hi guys, one of our boats sunk during a hurricane 2 years ago and we just got the $10000 that it is worth back from the insurance agency... so anyway we are looking at wakeboard boats. Obviously my parents dont want to spend alot of money on one because of what happened to the old one. So they said we could get a ski boat and put a tower/ballast on it because we are not pro riders and dont need a 60k boat. Anyway, sarasota florida is extremely gay for wakeboarding and there is only 2 inboard ski boats here. THis boat would be used in saltwater, but i am a complete perfectionist with boats so i would take the best care possible of it. So now the choice comes down to:

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/9/9/85794199.htm

or

http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/0/5/85693105.htm

Both look in really nice condition!

I know these are closed bow, is that a real problem?

Like i said i would be more thn happy to install a tower myself with some help and a ballast system.

Thanks so much!

Oliver

Toyota. No questions asked, one of the best built boats ever, that motor is freaking invincible, and they get better gas mileage then the American V8's.

Closed bows are OK if you are going to ride with 2-5 people. Throw in a couple of sacks and it feels crowded with 5 people. Either boat will probably function OK for wakeboarding, but I have no personal experience with either of these hulls. I would suggest a test cruise. It really depends how you are going to use the boat - if you want something to cruise and hang in with a large family or a bunch of friends I would keep looking. If you want something that will function as a skier and wakeboarding tow boat for $15K or less, these seem like reasonable choices. If you go with one of these boats, I would def. get a tower with racks to free up space inside the boat.

The Toyota would be my choice of the two

I've heard nothing but good things about the Toyota Epic boats. I would make sure that you can find a place to service it though, because they use a Lexus engine modified to marine specs rather than the standard American V8. Shouldn't be a problem in Florida.
I'd also suggest looking at http://www.epicmarine.com/index.php to educate yourself a bit more about these boats.

My friend has the same Brendella, he has a titan tower on it and it looks great and the wake with 6 people is tremendous for a boat of it's caliber. However, the gas is horrible. I usually use 1/2 what he does while we are out with both boats, we both have the 5.7 LT.

The Bredella is a tank at slow speeds you almost cannot turn it, I don't want to sound all bad but it has alot of room for a DD wide hull and plenty of leg room for back passengers

ahh, the toyota sounds really good. Yeah probibly the most i would ever ride with is 5, and i would get board racks and stuff so i think the epic would be good. Any ideas about running in salt water? i am a perfectionist with boats like i said, so i would flush it and everything.

Thanks

Oliver
