Hahaha- it's not much of a surprise that you screwed up your knee!
Get well- sucks that you missed the wakeboarding season... _________________ AOliver

David-D, I blew my ACL MCL lateral and medial Minisci in mid April and had ACL reconstruction May 27th.
It wasn't too sore the next day, minimal sweeling.
Here is the next question. We built a sick across and down rail into a pond to be pulled by a jeep. It's almost unhittable on a wakeskate, but I'm still worried on a wakeboard. The drop could be 4 feet on to the dirt. Should I grab a steel sided brace and do it? _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

Sorry about your knee. I'm in the same boat! What was that 6 weeks later? Had you regained your full range of motion? Had the swelling gone down? Did the surgeon mention any issues with long term problems due to early surgery? Are you not worried about re rupturing the 3 1/2 month old ligament as it would be more brittle during the 'remodelling' stage? _________________ Hasta la victoria siempre |

Celtic Boarder, That video is from Monday. 3 and 1/2 months out.
I started riding at 2 weeks out, just riding and slayshin the gnar. Learned a tumble turn after a month because I was bored of slayshes, then learned it switch at a month and a half. Then I started wakeskating. I am coming very close to switch fs big spins. I could do them back in the day, but had been focusing on wakeboarding lately.
As for now. We have a sick pool rail pond set up and I think I'm going to go buy a metal sided knee brace today and just buck up and hit it tomorrow. _________________ www.soswakeboard.com

Just to give you some words of advice. Do allot of balancing work. It will help strengthen your knee. I blew mine out 6 years ago and had surgery. 6 weeks after surgery I started my first Varsity football game. Good luck bro. _________________ Screw work I am going WAKEBOARDING!!!!!!! |

Well I bought a nice brace from Academy on Wednesday and then drove to Conroe yesterday. Decided to strap on the wakeboard instead of the wakeskate. Landed on my head, on the ground, first time I hit the pool gap. But by the end of the day I stuck a pretty sick front board the flat 450 over the down. Kyle is editing it and I'll post it up when it's done.
As for the knee. It was super sore last night, but starting to feel a little better today. _________________ www.soswakeboard.com
