used 05/06 versus a new 06 Vride

I've always been told not to buy new to avoid the big hit in depreciation. Right now though, an 06 vride can be had for 39K, pretty well equipped. That's a better price than most of the used 05 and 06 Vrides I've seen up for sale which have 70-150 hours. Actually the used boats seemed to be priced even higher. Must just be the time of year?
