"Trick tips?" I ride the PS3 without center fins. Little loose at first, especially switch but I love it now. If you edge properly the board actually bites pretty hard and holds a great edge. Easy as can be to break loose if you want it to. |

i red mine finless and i love it!!
the molded rail that starts about three to four inches after the tail holds like a mother~
loose at first, but now its sick....i love it.....i actually am gettin the watson next year cause i am lookin for a lil bit looser feel......we shall see what happens
good thing is i aint got to pay for the board......just tell my rep what i want and it gets shipped....so i guess i can't lose that way _________________ ~JosH~ |

| Never try it w/ fins, always ride finless. I find the PS3 a little too slow. I like the Watson better. |

wakerider13, The watson, IMO is tighter than the PS3. just take a look at the fins. The watson's are easliy twice as tall. I know wakeside.com's chart says it's looser, but in reality it's not.
WAKENERD, The PS3 is faster than the watson, due to the smaller rocker and bigger channels on the tip/tail _________________

Rode it w/o fins at first loved it, couldnt land anything clean. Put fins in, hated it, landed everything perfect. Now I would never ride w/o fins. |

i ride it with fins and love it. I have no problem doing topside tricks. the middle fin gives you the extra controll you need and it edges like a mofo with it.
and yes you can learn to edge with out the middle fin but with it on, edging is almost effortless. |

I ride it finless. Like most have said, it's a little loose at first, especially toeside. However, after a few sets it great, on edge it holds awesome yet if you want it to break loose when nuetral it does it with ease. Best of both worlds. Also, the PS3 is definately faster than the Watson. This is the 2nd time somebody has posted that they like the Watson more cause it was faster How somebody can say that is beyond me. The Watson is not a slow board but it's not even close to as fast as the PS3. Anyone who says that just lost all credibility when it comes to revieweing boards. |

wakerider13, I totally agree with LakeIolaLuke's comments about the watson being tighter than the PS3 - I have ridden the Watson and the PS3 with and without fins. Without is definitely the way to go.
Personal preference is the Watson - it was a little tighter hold for me - if you look at the rail of both boards, you will notice that the PS3 is actually rounded out alot more than the watson is. Although the PS3 is more forgiving when catching edges, I really like the Watson better. _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

I ride it finless but am going to a different board this next season for a looser feel.
I rode that watson and hated it, It was to SLOW! I didn't realize how much I liked a faster board till I rode the watson.

LFADAM, I'm trying soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hard to talk my dad into a VLX or Supra 21V or something. I know he can afford it.... The only boat we have is up at Lake Gaston and It's my aunt's who lives up there and I think it's winterized anyway. But believe me, if we had a boat, I'd be taking it every weekend after the 7 minute drive to falls lake and be out riding. But now, I only get a chance to ride about 7 times a year which really blows...
But I've been talking to this drummer in band with me (one year older) and he as a Direct Drive Natique of some kind and he really wants to try out my PS3 and I really want to try out his boat. So i think starting in March I might get out every weekend. And finally I'll be able to start progressing. _________________ Wake Forest University |
