So I wanna start trying some heelside glides. (Indy, Tail, Roastbeef, what have you). How would I go about getting these down? Hard progressive edge? Medium progressive? Ollie pop? I know I should keep my arm bent and not extended out like a raley. How do I keep from spinning a backside rotation and catching my heels? In other words, how do I keep from over "pulling" the glide making myself unable to pull it back down to riding regular? Keep the handle towards the wake that I left from? I think Ive got the physics of it down in my head pretty good, I just want someone to tell me how to do them (edge, pop, pull, etc.) and to let me know if any of my ideas are wrong. I can do batwings (well Ive only landed one, so make that batwing singular, but I pretty much understand the mechanics of it), I just want to do some heelside glides too...muchas gracias! _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

If you wanna do Indy/tail glides, learn 911s first. Get comfortable with them. Try some indy glides off the D-up cause they are way easier. Get comfortable with them. Then take them to the wake.
That is the safest but possible slowest way to learn them. As for doing them off the wake, hard progressive edge with your knees bent more then normal. I usually put a little bit more weight on my front foot. Grab the board right off the wake or you won't get it. I would think that bringing it in would be the same as a batwing but I can't do them so I don't really know. I just let myself go all the way out then pull it back in. It kind of rips on my arm a lot of the time so make sure you strectch before you ride. _________________ www.nationsfoundation.org
