27? I ride at 21. Any faster and I think you are not loading the line properly and using boat speed for launch velocity. Also, at 27 you are going to start to see your wake flattening out. Unless you are one of those 'ballast junkies' with 2000# in your tub.

27 does sound a little fast. But, "whatever floats your boat" If you want to go that fast then thats up to you, I think you have a death wish.

I rode at 21 and felt like I was literally sinking... I can only imagine what 17 would be like...

Higher speeds and longer lines... its the future.

I'd hardly say anyone with more than 2000lbs is a ballast junkie though. Thats just enough Confused

21 on a paddlewheel speedo? Or 27 on a pickup speedo? Sinking at 21? Dude you're board is too small or you need to step away from the big macs. I'd love to see what you're doing at 27MPH.

Between 22 and 23 behind the SANTE. It all depends on who's riding, Beth rides at about 20-21.

I seriously doubt my 137cm board is to small for me. Although I have been putting on some weight. I'm almost 130lbs...

Or maybe I just perfer to ride faster...

The VLX doesn't have PP.

my wake doesn't get clean at the length I ride till you hit at least 22... we usually ride between 23-24 depending on where the sweet spot is.

The more weight, the faster you go. It actually doesn't feel like you're going any faster if you have a big wake to hit. It only feels fast to me when the wake gets small and feels like a speed bump when you hit it, but that's around 26-27 on my boat.
We ride at 23.5-25 mph on perfect pass (X-30 with 2000 lbs)

22,23,24 or anywhere in between, depends on rope length, boat, ballast and how many drinks are down the hatch Laughing

..........I think you'll find most boarders, especially on here, will run between 1500-2500lbs in their ride Wink

25.2 on the PP. I'd love to see someone ride 21 mph with 2500 #'s and an 85 foot line. Not gonna happen.

Step 1: load the hell out of your boat
Step 2: go as fast as you can without losing a nice wake.
Step 3: Put your line where you can clear the wakes with a 50-60% cut.

If my boat could handle the weight i would ride at 25-26 with a 85 ft. line.
