Hi everybody,
I'm about to start wakeboarding, but I have to get a board first.
For starters I'm 6' 8" and about 325lbs. I also wear a size 15 shoe.
I have no doubts that I can get up, but I need suggestions on boards. The largest I've seen is the Hyperlite Era 147. Is there anything bigger out there?
For skis I use 167" combos that are almost as big as jump skis because they were the only ones I could get my feet in. I also started wakeskating, because there are no bindings.
Anybody have any board/binding suggestions, or any tips on how to get a big guy out of the water.
*edit* I have used the wakeboard finder, and it doesn't list anything bigger than 144, with no mention of the Era 147, so I know there must be something bigger. Does anybody make a 150 or something?
Also we have a Super Air Nautique, so we have plenty of power to pull me. |

I've never heard of a board even as big as that Era. I would go to all the big companies websites and look at what they got.
I think my best advice to you is to buy at least two Era 147's because I'm assuming there isn't much demand for a board that big and u are going to be SOL when they discontinue that thing. _________________ Check out https://www.facebook.com/darcizzleoffshore |

Yeah, you should buy at least two Era's, did you find any bindings that would fit your feet? _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

Airpear,
I am 6' 2", 290 lbs. and I ride a 2005 Era 147. It is the first and only board I have ever owned and I think it's awesome. I don't particularly like the color of the '06 Era but I'm fairly certain it is the largest board available. The local pro I take lessons from said it is a pro level board and is good for most any riding style, yet I started from the beginning with this board and have had no known problems learning (I admit I probably wouldn't know it if I did). I have an 11 4E foot and use the CWB Torque XL bindings. Good luck finding some to fit you and I would personally recommend the Era. |

| I am 6'3" 240lbs. I ride a Hyperlite State 145. The board seems to be about the perfect length. I get right up and don't seem to have trouble doing surface 180s and small ollies. I can't do much more yet but I've only been wakeboarding a few weeks. I also have a size 15 foot. Boots were deffinateley very tight when I first put them on. The first time I went out, my feet killed after 5 minutes. However, I put a couple cans of spraypaint under where the toes go overnight a couple nights and now the bindings feel MUCH better. |

my exos were real tight, then my friend rode in them, and stretched them, now they're really comfortable.
