Hey all! MY 2000 23v Tige has a 1.5 size din hole with a clarion radio in it. I want to yank this out and put a single din radio in its place. The radio installation is a sinch I just need to know where to get some sort of kit to make the single din radio fit in the hole.
Is there any car din that is the same size where I can just buy a cheap kit at wally world?
It also seems that I have seem 1.5 din size holders that have a lid that closes over them. That would probably work better but I dont know where I have seen this.
Would that work? I'm gonna swing by and see if they have one in stock to look at. _________________ Visit www.nashvillewakeboarder.com for riders in the Nashville, Tn area!
probably not. Most of the covers like that one are made for a din size opening and radio. You may wind up making something to cover the opening. You can get marine board from overtons, west or any good supply house. This stuff is kinda expensive but you can cut it with a hand saw and it will last forever. Just curious why are you changing?
The clarion wont play any burned cds, and it also has no auxillary input.
I guess I will have to find a stereo the exact same size as my clarion and then find cars that it would fit into with no kit needed. Then I'll buy the installation kit from wally world for that car. _________________ Visit www.nashvillewakeboarder.com for riders in the Nashville, Tn area!
