|
|
| Over the winter/next summer, my family is going to be in the market of looking for boats. I have narrowed it down to a few boats but I really liked the Supra 21v. Does anyone have this boat that could tell me alittle about it. You don't have to go to major details but like if you could list a few pro's/con's about it that would be great and make the search for boats easier. Also I heard that it isn't great at handelingSP. So thanks for your help. |

| My friend has a 21V. I was really impressed with the boat. Great layout, great looks, boat drove good, most importantly the wake was awesome. The 21V wake and the 205V wakes are the best wakes I have ever ridden. The only thing the boat needed was a different prop to help it out of the hole when weighted down. |

| Yeah the layout is awsome and it looks like it has a great wake. Those are the major things, and also, withought thw wake plate and ballast filled is it o.k. for tubing and maybe alittle skiing? |

| wakeATL, I think I'm reading your post right, I would say don't skip the wake plate. It gives you a little more control over the shape of the wake, and will stop porpoiseing(sp?) at high speeds. Excellent choice of boat IMO take a demo ride in it and see what YOU think about it. And yeah you can ski and tube off it, it's your boat do what you want. If you want to avoid dirty looks I'd save the tubing for when the water is chopped up, but again, your boat, your water time enjoy it however you want. |

| ridininmd, I don't really understand what you mean when you say don't skip the wakeplate. It only has to be able to do tubing alittle bit so the sister who isn't much into wakeboarding can also have fun with the boat. It will be used for wakeboarding the most tho. |

| wakeATL, The wake plate helps alot in the overall feel of the boat. I have a 03 22 SSV and at higher speeds (30mph+) the front end will porpoise pretty bad if there is no weight in the bow. It will also help you with your holeshot when you are running heavy. It's just not worth skimping on. |

Go for the 21V. You'll love it. Wake is great, storage is great, freeboard and ride is great. In my opinion, it is the best all around wakeboard boat out there.
Just a note for the people who aren't familiar with a wakeplate. Supra's wakeplate is not a wake enhancing device. It is a wake shaping and performance adjusting device. With the plate down, it makes the lake a little more flat and your hole shot is better. With the plate up, it allows the boat to sit a little deeper in the water, making the wake a bit more peaky. |

| Thank you guys so much for all the feedback on the boat. I hope this convinces my dad to get the boat by next summer. Anymore feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks a ton. |

What about the new 22SSV? Since it is a new hull I guess the wake is unproven but it looks like it will also be a great all around wakeboading boat. Now that it is longer, wider and most importantly deeper, it seems like a great choice.
I have a 24SSV with about 3000lbs in it. You are more than welcome to hop over to Lanier and try it out to give you a feel for supras. |
