Just picked this up over the weekend and can say it will definitely be a step up from riding behind my old 17ft I/O! It's a 95' Mastercraft Prostar 205, super clean and 435 hours on it. And yes, tower is going on it soon! |

P hat in Cincy, yeah stupid me was so busy with getting it to and in the lake I forgot to take a pic of it on the trailer and everything... I'll get those sometime soon. I'll probably go with the Mastercraft tower, same as you have... assuming it fits on this boat as well? |

It looks great!!! Congrats ontrider,
You may be able to find a older Zero flex tower for a little cheaper (01-04 tower) which should fit. You may have to make a couple of modifcations but nothing to big.
What's the Hp on the engine back in 95? I had a 97 Maristar for a year and it had the corvette 330hp engine in it.
Be prepared to get booted!! You'll have to post some big air pics for sure. Did you get a chance to use it at all? You guys out there got the remains of the Hurricane didn't you. A little rain over the weekend? _________________ Don't do anything rash.....and don't do anything to get a rash... |

Thanks very much guys. Matt, yes I did end up making the trip and it was worth it for sure! For those who don't know, I actually drove to Atlanta to pick this up and when all was said and done, saved at least a few thousand, not to mention they're super-hard to find here. I also love road trips, so the driving didn't bother me at all. Overall the drive was good... we got the hell outta Detroit, Ohio was unimpressive, but Kentucky and Tennesee were beautiful, nice people all along the way as well. Atlanta traffic sucks balls. It took 16 hours total to get there (did this in one day). That took into account the damn traffic in atlanta, a rolled over tractor trailer in ohio blocking the highway and a big accident in cincinnati. The drive back was two days, stopped in bowling green for a night and then home. This let me get across the border early and really quick since there was no traffic there.
First day driving the trailer back there was a damn plastic box in the middle of a one lane off-ramp which I barely missed with the car and nailed with the trailer No way in hell I could've stopped. The box basically shattered and then a mile down the road a trucker pointed to pull over... so we're thinking oh stuff, the tire is blown. But no, there was an air mattress hanging on the side of the trailer. Took it off, laughed, and off again!
Launching the boat I almost forgot to put the plug in after taping it to the keys and everything. Stupid me. I had taken it out in Atlanta because we had got drenched for about 20 mins and needed to drain the boat. Besides that though, we completely missed the hurricane.
So cursing ensued, put the plug back in and the boat cranked right up, and it drives sweet! Handling is great and I probably just need to get used to docking it a little more, but I think I have the hang of it already. Didn't get a chance to ride yet unfortunately and was dead tired (still am). Only thing I noticed is that the packing may be a bit loose on the propshaft, so I'll have to take a look at that. It seems like a little more water is coming in then should be, but it could've been from the rain we had last night too. So I have to figure out how to check that and fix it if I need to
Bam, the boat has the chevy 350 w/275hp - they also had the option of the corvette LT1 then, but it's not in my boat. It definitely moves. My old i/o was 130hp 4 banger, so this is like a dream. I'll look into the other towers too, but I've got lots of time until spring.
Brad... the DIY projects may have to wait until my savings account recovers. I think that's all the typing for now... this is turning into a lengthy haugy-story. |

ontrider,
Wahooo, a nice boat to go with the sweet stairs and the floating 'swim raft.' With that raft you just extended your season to mid Dec--you wont even have to get your feet wet.
Oh does she have heaters/shower?? Atlanta is a long way from the frozen Tundra. _________________ I hope the weather is calm as you sail up your heavenly stream |

Mike, congrats on the new ride! It looks awesome and I'm glad to see that it's up in Canada running well. I can't wait to see what it looks like with the tower on it. It's going to look even better!
I'd definitely consider adding on a heater if it doesn't have one already, they're stupid simple to install. _________________ wakeboards

its harder to find stuff in canada, plus its cheaper to buy one from the states and go get it than it is to get it here. _________________ |X|anadu |

nice boat. looks like its in awesome shape. The back seat is a lot different from my 92, is that original? Also the trailer looks a lot newer, I'm going to have to replace mine at some point, did you/the previous owner get it through a mc dealer? |

The seat is not original, it was redone but I'm actually in the process of replacing it with a ballast enclosure/sundeck since I don't really use it and want the sacks hidden back there. I'll update that next week - I'm just waiting for some materials for the seat. The trailer is a 2002, so yes it's newer.
Added some LED's over the weekend, I think they turned out pretty good in the location I chose. Subtle and not too 'in your face'.
Also added custom fit tower from New Dimensions. |

Yes Wayne Hartford did them and then started ND, and if I remember correctly after talking to them, they are now doing the MC towers again. |

Thanks Brad. I'll probably update next week with pics when the ballast enclosure is done. I'm also doing some mods to the boat cover so it will fit around the tower. |
