Boat size?

i know boat size can make a difference in the size of the wake. but i was looking at the pole today and most ppl liked boats 21 and 22 feet. Wouldnt something like a 28foot 700hp mastercraft x-80 put out a better wake than a x-30? I know the x 80 costs a lot so could that be the reson smaler boats r more liked or is the boat so big that the wake is really wide and washy?

Dude a 21-23 foot boat would be my pref, i am getting a MB B52 V23 TE next spring, but the smaller the boat the easier it is to weigh down, producing a bigger wake, yea stock most of the time a bigger boat = bigger wake

well, with the x-80, you'd need about 5000# to weigh it down, plus the wake would be like 40 feet across.
