I'd work on getting more air. Look at the trick tips section of this website on the progressive edge. Work on both your heelside and toeside and then start on frontside 180s. I found the toeside frontside 180 to be the easiest. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| edge in hard and stand tall (don't bend your knees) when you hit the wake. if you bend your knees you will absorb the wake so you wont get much air. |

Work on riding switch, try a butterslide, work on your progressive edge and getting more air as well. _________________ It won't be easy, but when I get there it will be one of the most satisfying journeys of my life. |

| If u work on getting more air then just try an easy grab, I'm new to wakeboarding and i haven't tried a 180 in the air yet. |

To get more air dont focus completely on speed.
I think it is more important to focus on a continuous smooth edge to the very top of the wake. think of your mellowest softest turn as 1 and as the edge increases so does the number so that 10 is your strongest most agressive edge where like as Rocket says "imagine you are trying to show the graphics on the bottom of your board to the people in the boat"
what you do is carve out of the wake and just hang there intill tension is regained in the rope. Now you SLOWLY count your edges from 1 to 10. the key is to slowly count to 10 you don't want to rush to 10 you want to wait until the rope regains tension keep it low against your hips and then SLOWLY count to 10. you want to reach 10 as you hit the start of the wakes ramp and hold it until you reach the very top of the lip.
sart small dont go for a full wake jump flat out mabey just over to the middle so dont go out as far and cont go all the way up to 10.
when landing remember to keep you knees bent and mellow and the handle locked in at your hip and your weight over the middle of the board or just towards the edge most furtherset away from the boat.
hopefully this helps
alot of the tricks listed are good and easy to learn dont take them wake to wake straight out TS 180 to HS is good when grabin wait until you are in the air and bring the board to you for an easy indy grab. play with butterslides too. _________________ I may be the most unco guy in the world but mabey that is because I always go big so I know I have the most fun. |
