Some of you have alligators and snakes but last night we had a bear shaking the apple tree looking for food. This morning I found this little bear poop nugget. Apparently they've been snacking while I've been gone.
Not very comforting knowing myself and my kids Mountain bike through the bear den. Hell just walking outside my door now is walking in bear country. Holpefully if we leave them alone, they'll leave us alone.
Here is a picture of the bear poop. The blackberries are ripe right now so it's mostly black. Don't know what the red berry is.

Some of us still use a green screen. That and I'm not sure that what I type or the pictures I post are actually what you see.

Sorry but I thought it would be safe considering the majority of people have never seen a bear or bear poop. For those that have never seen it and go into the mountains I was doing my public service by showing them what bear poop looks like. Finally outside of Asians most cultures don't eat bear meat so it shouldn't spoil an appitite.

Yes but is it from a Black Bear or a Grizzly Bear? Wife, kids and dogs are a little on edge right now.

| If its a black bear you dont have much to worry about. Just leave them and they will leave you. At my cabin I see about 10-20 bears a year, my dog is constantly chasing them up trees, etc... they are generally scared of people and just mind their own business. Griz's tho... they are a diff story

It is in Manitoba, but I am in Jasper lots. I was there last week and we saw a black bear near horseshoe lake.

| We found bear tracks at our cottage this past weekend - never seen any there before - it explains the noises we were hearing outside one night...
