Does Byerly still wakeboard??

It seems that every time I have seen something about Byerly in the past couple of years, it has to do with wakeskating. It would seem pretty lame for him to put out a wakeboard with his name on it and he doesn´t even wake anymore. If he does still wakeboard, I´m sorry and disregard this post!

i'm gonna go out on a limb n say he pretty much only skates now...i'm sure he still straps in but most of the time he competes he's on the skate...

Don´t you think it´s weird then that there´s a Byerly Pro Model?

It´s like Michael Jackson back in the day doing commercials for Pepsi and wouldn´t drink the stuff. Anybody else remember that?

andy mogg, no it's more like jordan still having his own shoe. anything wrong with that? byerly really Bubb Rubb up his knee in 05 i think so i dunno know what hes doing as far as riding goes. But even before his knee he pretty much only skated but im sure hed strap in occasionally.

he's only skated for a while now. He said it was weird for him to strap on a board for the HL team video, and what was that 2 or 3 years ago? Because he never boards.

The Headless Chicken, he messed up his knee while skating too. I think he's done with bindings.

He defintly doesnt compete on a wakeboard, which i do think is kinda weak still having bindings and a board when he never even straps it on, will be interesting to see his new line come out for 2007

RUSSIAN, i think he means that he stopped boarding and has been only skating in the past couple years.
wakeboardnut, having a pro's name on stuff will help it sell. it would be stupid to keep that boot and board shape without byerly's name on it. I'm sure he does some messing around on a board. I'm pretty sure he's coming out with a new shape this year and i would hope he test rode it.

The Headless Chicken, yeah he probably rode it once or twice and went yep still rides exactly the same as it has the past 4 years... hmm maybe because it is the same board? but i'm sure the change in graphics every year add a ton to the way it rides... Rolling Eyes

Tell you what....If someone said they would pay you to have your name on a wakeboard, would you say no??
I think not!!!
This is the mans job, and correct me if i wrong but they only get paid if they win a competition or place 2nd or 3rd and i dont think its a hell of a lot of money if you have a house and car to pay for....So any extra money (name on a wakeboard) is bonus!!

well i dunno, he did invent wake skating but i dont think he should have another pro model out for 07 with hyperlite, i know if i invented somthin of that caliber i would be all over it too

im friends with a hyperlite rider Ross Garnder who rides with byerly all the time...he mostly wakeskates now but Ross says he strapped in the other day and did a switch ts bs oa 720 with a double grab...byerly is "The Boss" he is a pioneer of wakeboarding and wakeskating..he can do whatever the hell he wants..that includes still making a pro model wakeboard
