mexican backroll

okay, i see all these post about backrolls but none of them ever talk about mexican backrolls. Does anyone have advice for me? I really have no idea if i'm actually doing it right, but as i approach the wake i focus on building as much line tension as possible, then as a stand tall off of the wake i let go with my trailing hand, stick the handle to my right side, (holding on with just my right hand), throw my head forward and i usually get the rotation close to perfect, the problem is, i never can come down with the rope in my hand. I'm really not sure if i cant hold on because of the pressure on the line, or if i just let go out of habbit. Any advice would be helpfull...
