Anyone have any experience with these? I ride behind a 16' with a 85hp OB and am desparate to improve the wake a little. I've been having at least one rider sit in the bow which has helped a little, but I'm thinking that a little more weight would do some good. This ski locker ballast seems like a good option with my limited floor space, but I'm wondering if anyone has used them with wake improving success.

I have a 97 Sport Nautique and would like to put 200# in my locker, and a hundo under each side of the rear seat. I'm told by many reliable sources with this same hull that would make a super peeley whopper wake. I was going to block off the upper half of the locker and throw lead in it. But I like this idea.

Do you have a link for this? I'd be all over it to try it.

BTW... ski locker is great place for ballast. Low center of balance, out of the way, and just ahead of dead center of the boat. With that, a a little more in the rear, I know my boat would toss a monster. Wink

Thanks for bringing this up. I wondered if someone made something like this.

They're pretty easy to find. The pic is copied from buywake.com, but I've seen them else where like eBay and other wakeboarding sales sites. They're selling from ~$70 pretty much everywhere.

BUMP.

Y'all don't have anything to share on these? C'mon, I need some advise from the experts.

Loppy, if the locker is the same on the sport as it is on the super sport check this out. http://www.buywake.com/catalog/detail/FL_ttJqn it works great I have it in my 97 supersport. Then add a couple of hundred in lead all the way up in the nose and 1200 lbs in the rear and the wake will be mackin.

burntorange77, check the deminsions and make sure it will fit. Thats a long locker bag, 6 1/2 foot long I think. I don't think most smaller boats will have the locker room to fit that one. I measured and my 19' i/o won't fit that one. Skylon has a similar one but it's a shorter length and looks like it's wider with a shorter height.
I'm currently experimenting with 50 lb gravel bags before I spend money on the sacs and pumps. The Skylon locker sac looks like it will be my first purchase followed buy their fat buddies for the engine compartment.
