I guess the owner of the "Clam Bait" does not agree. I found this pic on another site - and seriously stopped dead in my tracks.

I need to know. Where, and from what demographic, would this be acceptable. I mean, it is a charicature of a 'bearded clam' on the back of a boat. What woman would not be freaked out by that. Seriously. I am perplexed at this. My guess is that this boat is towed by a flat black 1979 Ford Econoline van with rusty wheelwells and NO WINDOWS.

Someone, please help me understand this.

McGoose, my last boat came with the wonderful name "Lickety Split"

That's about how long the name took to peel off with a heat gun. Gone, lickety split.

Unless the owner's occupation is porn director, then I can't see how that is acceptable for the normal set of folks that own and use fancy wake boats. And in one of the profile photos I see a basketball hoop which means kids are around maybe.

I mean - can you imagine? That is the tackiest name/signage I have ever seen on a lake boat. I have seen 9 zillion "Wet Dream" vessels but nothing even close to as tacky as the Clam Bait.

What a super reinforced, ultra high-powered mega TOOL.

McGoose,

Yeah, that guy is probably a tool. Guess what. So are a large percentage of wakeboard boat owners (not any of you guys, of course Laughing ).

My reaction: "Har har...whatever." Of course, if you hadn't pointed it out, I wouldn't have even paid it that much attention.

So I'm just wondering: why are you so worked up about this?

-=LoneStar=-, I guess because it is just so over the top. As if 'Clam Bait' isn't enough, we get the little bearded clam cartoon character with one of those awful "flavor saver" chintop mini beard-stache too. I'm not really worked up - I am more amazed than anything I guess. Remember this is on a Malibu 247. A beautiful boat.

It makes me wonder who the owner is. My guesses:
1. Porn director
2. 14 year old horn-ball kid with bad taste, who is also an emancipated lottery winner
3. An actual clam digger, who loves $70,000 fresh water boats for some reason
4. Some douche from Texas with a little bit of money, terminally bad taste, that still manages to somehow get women on the boat (unfortunately for my imagination, this seems the most likely)

Hmm. I've seen much dirtier names than that. A Sea Ray Sundance 340 last weekend had "Bob on This" on the back. Hence the guys name was Bob.

Kids aren't going to get it anyways. Who gives a stuff. I would laugh out loud if I saw that. Someone has some nerve to put that on the back of the boat. He probably has a fun loving girlfriend(s) who think its funny too. They are probably better looking than our girlfriends because homey probably has more money than we do also. Surprised)

Let it go. I think the title of the post should have been "lol look at this name". Maybe I'm just a dirty leg.

My buddy's parasail boat is named "Afternoon Delight". Laughing

I had another friend who built a custom chopper and named it "Whore Bait". Painted it right on the back fender. Laughing

I don't get worked up over minor crap like that. In fact, I think its kinda funny. Mr. Green

There are two boats by me one named Morning Wood, and the other named Master Baiter.

Personally I think Master Baiter is classic, one my friends always hyped about naming his boat that as a joke, and I just couldn't help but crack up when I saw someone named their boat that in person.

Saw another gross name today at the marina, some older women (Easily 50) had the boat name "busted," and they were really happy to talk to me alot. It was awkward.
