I have a 202 LPX Crownline. I'm just getting into the awesome sport of wakeboarding and i was wondering if the Crownline will work very well. I know it will pull me up and stuff like that but is the wake gonna be big enough for me to do some of the harder tricks. Which it will be a while before I can do that, but will it work when i get ready to> Cool

Hey, crownline's are nice boats. But i'm not sure what their wakes are like. But just look at i this way, at least you have a boat. My first boat was a Fabuglass whatever boat, butit worked until i got a better boat. Just work on the basics with the crownline, and maybe find a pull with someone with a specific wakeboard boat. Good luck!

The Crowline will put out a decent wake, not tournament quality though. I used to own an I/O and we weighted it down with some fat sacks. The wake got a little bigger but it wasn't the ride shape or hardness. I did smaller tricks like grabs, 180s, and even some 360s behind it. Now I own an inboard. The wake is so much better on it. The Crownline will work up to a certain point but if you get real serious into it, you'll want an inboard for harder tricks.

You might also want to look into getting an extended pylon or a tower for your boat. That along with some smaller fat sacks and adjusting the trim to where you like it will help you with your riding. If your ever over in central Arkansas, I'd be happy to give you a pull. We ride on Degray all summer long.

Focus on getting good launch & land positions, balance and rope graps with what you got and you'll know when you need the real deal.

WARNING: Dont ride behind a SAN, X-Star or other sick wake throwing sled until you can afford one. At that point whatever you got needs to be replaced.

That boat looks pretty nice to me. Just start throwing a bunch of weight in it and see what happens. It sure is big enough to handle quite a bit of weight.

Good luck,

My parents have that same boat. It has a real crisp, rampy wake but it is really small. What you need is 1500-2000lbs to sink it down because it is such a wide boat. The wake never gets real washy so the more weight the better. My buddy pulled tantrums, 3's and rolls to revert behind it so it is great untill you get pro and need your Super Air Nautiuqe . Great boat, real nice quality and a real pleasure to drive, but it will never be the best wakeboard boat.

I love to wakeskate behind it because the wake is clean and not to much vert to it.

I still like my Four Winns wake alot thought
