| Can anyone recommed a good instrutcional dvd for a newbie? I plan on getting a trampoline too, so a dvd that incorporates trampoline workouts would be good. Also, which is the best wakeboarding magazine to get a subscription to? Thanks |

The only instructional DVD I have ever watched was "The Book." I bought it because so many people on this site recommended it. Not sure what disadvantages there are to it, but I don't think you'll be disappointed. _________________ Whoever coined the term "Near Beer" was a very poor judge of distance... |

| As said above, 'The Book' is probably the best instructional set of videos out there, hands down. |

| if you want a video strictly about learning tricks, i'd say the book. the only thing that i dont like about the book is that it's pretty boring, but you'll learn a lot. if you want a video with humor and wakeboarding tips, i'd say detention. it was funny, but they don't spend much time on tricks, they just outline the main points. |

The book is brilliant but what killed me was the really long intro to each chapter with the annoying music.
The Book is the only DVD I've seen to use a trampoline so heavily, other DVD's I've seen include Higher Education, Waketrix and the Riders Edge and they were all very good but very little if any trampoline use.
If you are buying the Book don't get the full 5 disc series, get 2 Build a Foundation.
You can then buy the other discs as you need them.
Disc 1 is VERY basic, if you are able to get out of the water then start with disc 2. |
