help with sticking out a tantrum

ive been having a lot of trouble latly stick out a tantrum, my approach is great and i always land the trick, however when i land the handle almost always rips out of my hand, ive go such a death grip on the thing that yesterday all my fingers have blood blisters and ive got skins peeling off my palm.


i dont know what im doing wrong, when i land it feels like the handle is too far out from me and thats why im loosing it, but when i take off the handle is nice and close to my hip.


any suggestions?

Hard to tell without a vid, but you may be flattening off too early and loosing a lot of the slack in the line that should prevent you from loosing the handle.

Try and get a vid or a sequence shot and post it up on here.

wakestock is tommorow so im throwing a small practice run together tonight, ill take some video

Difficult without a video but. Try one of two things.

come off on your front foot. literally push more with the front as you come off the wake.

if that doesnt work throw it into the boat more rather than away which makes the line tight.

if both of those dont work then you are throwing your head back way way too early resulting in a fast low tantrum.

and if that doesnt work then.........
