But the things that i know that our wrong is that i need to edge through the wake more. Check it out thanks. Also riding like 25mph at 65ft.

Ok, I only watched like the first three minutes. Here are a few problem areas:
1.) When posting a vid for critique, try trimming the video down and just put a few jumps in there. Don't make us search through 11 minutes of garbage.
2.) At least ATTEMPT to go toeside.
3.) Gloves.
4.) You cut out far enough, but then you just drift until you get to the trough and then you start to edge. It looks like you're attempting to do a progressive edge so that's good. Start edging sooner.
5.) Stand tall at the wake. A progressive edge is fine and dandy but if you hit the wake with bent knees you will absorb all of the pop and get no height.
6.) Edge through the wake. |

| Um, basically yeah, but when you extend your legs, you don't really need to try and jump. Your legs just need to be straight you don't need to spring yourself. So you need to stand up but remember not to flatten off of your edge. |

one way i explain "standing tall" to people is : lock your legs like a soldier standing at attention. you dont jump at all, you just stand straight up. if your knees are bent it'll sap the "pop" out of your jump.
hope this helps! |

Jp minter- i understand you just hate heelside hero's and thats great for you, but if you can't do heel side W2W, you probably shouldnt be investing much time with TS stuff yet, siince its just that much harder. If on the video he would have been attempting TS the vid would have been twice as long.
Other than that JP has it nailed. Transition your edges faster, your technique is good enough. to get w2w you just need to go from your toe edge to your heel edge faster and progressively cut harder and harder till you edge all the way through the wake. at that point just stand tall, and don't flatten off edge till your through the wake.
fllat out you are just cutting towards the wake way to late. you need more edge, earlier. that'll be a start _________________ "Your tomorrow may never come" -Mike Ness |

| I disagree. I think it's important to attempt a few toeside jumps even when still learning HS W2W. |

PMart, everything everyone told you so far is exactly right, so I won't reiterate. These tips are to help you out when reviewing your own videos...
Look at your transition from TS to HS. Your board is almost parallel to the boat as you drift into the wake. Now look at other videos in this forum of guys that are making it w2w. See how their board is going more perpendicular to the boat almost as soon as they come off their TS edge? That's what you want to be doing.
Also, check out some of the guys that are really edging hard in those videos...see how they are throwing a "rooster tail" off of their board? That's also a way to tell how hard you are edging (or not edging) in your videos.
Focus on the things people have already told you and keep videotaping yourself. When you review those tapes, just keep these things in mind and that will help you pinpoint your problem areas... |
