| also... you may have to ajust your bindings so both your toes point out slightly. |

| I didn't start riding switch for a long time, it felt like you said, weird and uncomfortable. It will come in time, I wouldn't worry about it when you're starting out, but then again I would also try to ride switch at least a little bit during your runs so you stay familiar with it and build your muscle memory riding in a different position. |

I started out getting up switch, then started leaving the wake out on my healside. I was having trouble learning my toe edge and leaving the wake on that side. I found it easier to go out on my healside fs and do a 180 out in the flats which then turned me switch. Once out in the flats on my toeside, I could experiment with it and learn the edge. From there I started coming back on my hs bs jumping the wake and throwing a 180. This is actually easier for me right now since it allows you to land regular stance. I think I would just eat it if I tried to land switch. My hs bs jumping is really crappy and out of control, but I usually get just enough height to throw the 180. This is about as far as I have gotten. My next attempt is to try and jump toeside switch and throw the 180 to land regular. Then I guess I will be forced to start practicing my switch landings. This progressing worked well for me, and seemed to happen pretty fast. I hope this helps.
Also, I have trouble getting out away from the boat on my toeside edge when riding switch. I get about 15 ft from the wake and can't seem to go any further. Anyone every had this problem? Any suggestions? |

| just dedicate some time to it, just tell yourself, i'm gonna ride this whole set switch, visualize in your mind what you do when you're riding normal than try to duplicate it |

I used to have trouble edging out ts switch, but it turns out I was looking at the boat while doing so, probably because I'm used to be looking in that direction when I edge out on that side (hs regular). Just look to the shore, and practice till you can edge out more, rememeber to pull the handle to your waist.
I feel really unsecure when trying to jump switch and land switch... it worse than when I learned everything first regular.
The halfcab 180s are very easy but don't stick to them, try landing some of those jumps switch too! _________________ http://www.miamiskinautique.com

For the past few weeks i've been riding switch at least half the time and it has helped me out a TON!! You feel 10x more comfortable and confident with your riding overall. I didnt want to ride it at first b/c i couldn't ride switch worth a poo. But just go out and dedicate one or two sets to just switch riding. _________________ 2006 Liquid Force Fish 125 w/ Hyperlite 3DS boots |

Definitely set the bindings up duck.
It's was easiest (for me) to practice between the wakes for awhile.
Just keep whatever edge that is facing the boat at any given millisecond *up*. |
