| I currently ride an 04 Parks 138 which I have loved. It has killer pop and great handling, however, I had a chance to ride a Substance a few weeks ago and I was very impressed with the feel of the board. So now I'm thinking I want one and just wanted some feedback from owners and their thoughts on what to expect. I'd consider myself an intermediate rider. Spins, grabs, so on...working on my inverts. What to do? Thanks... |

| Most people really like that board. But if I were you, I would try out as many boards as possible before you go and make a new purchase. Maybe you'd find another board you like even better. |

Substance is a great board, I've been riding it for almost a year now and couldn't be happier. I think it's a lot more mellow getting on edge (too slow for some people), alot like carving the POW. If you rode it and liked it, then it's your kind of board. Most people will know instantly whether they do or don't like that kind of feel. It's a little hard on the landings for some people, so I'd try it out again with that in mind and see if it's still something you're interested in. It's a great board though, I highly recommend it. _________________ '05 Supra Launch 24SSV |

I've been on a substance for 2 years now, got one after my wife got one, I liked hers a lot and got the '05 when it came out. We had different sized feet and she's much shorter than I am, so it just wouldn't work out sharing a board.
I love my substance, the pop is really nice, it's pretty loose even with the center fins they provide in. I'd say I'm an intermediate rider, have a couple of inverts, working on spins. I'm curious to try the watson and shane as my next board as the 134 I'm riding is a little smaller than I'd like to be, but I do love the board. _________________ This has been a DizzyG Message |

| I had the same thoughts about the board when I took a few sets with it. So what might be another board to consider if you had to pick? I've always ridden Hyperlite, so I'm somewhat favored to them as well... |

| If you liked the substance, you'll love the PS3. I really liked the substance as well when I rode it most of last year. But like was already stated, the landings are a little harsh if taken out into the flats. Basically the PS3 solved that problem without sacrificing any pop and adding a little speed. |

| I have a substance 138 and I love it. Great pop, wonderful edging, and the landings aren't bad at all. |
