| i've been coming really close to 3's lately but i'm always just missing the handle. I've been told to pull the handle around to your back with both hands and i've been told to pull it around with one hand so im wondering is it easier pulling it with one hand or both? |

Armada, as a beginner, you should pull the rope to your rear hip with both hands. you don't have to wrap around all the way to you back...just get it to your hip and let go with the front hand. when you do that, let the rope rotate around your body and place your handle-hand at the small of your back. with the other, get it around your backside and grab the handle.
for me, i just yank it and pull it with one hand to my back. |

Try the milk jug trick. It's been said many times on here. Tie a milk jug full of water to the end of your handle and swing it around you...it really helps build strength and get your timing down...i did it for about a week or two and went out and landed my first HS FS 3 on my 2nd try...give it a shot _________________ 2006 Liquid Force Fish 125 w/ Hyperlite 3DS boots |

I set the handle on my rear hip with both hands, and look over my lead shoulder at the same time.
I take my lead hand off as soon as I get the handle to my rear hip, and start moving it around for the pass.
Something that really helped me solidify my threes was grabbing them, It caused me to wait longer for the handle pass, making it easier.
To emulate a grab and get the handle easier, do this. After you pull the handle to your rear hip and look up and over your lead shoulder, move your hand down like you are going for a mute grab. Your arm will be hanging straight down with your palm facing back towards you. With your palm still facing back, run your hand up along the side of your leg and hip, and by that time, the handle should be right there. |
