| hey everyone... im somewhat of a beginner.. i mean i can get outside wake, cross wake, jump the wake.. all the easy stuff.. now i was wondering what the ideal boat speed is to learn on...and what boat speed do you all prefer?? if you could help me out id really appreciate it, Thanks |

| i prefer about 23 mph, but people ride on anything from 18mph to 27 mph, just use whatever is comfortable for you but still makes the wake a decent size/shape. |

I do not think there is an ideal speed that will work for all beginners. It really depends on how fast the rider feels comfortable going and the boat. You def. want to be going fast enough to have a clean wake which will depend on the boat and weight.
For people that are just learning to jump the wake, I usually pull them between 18-20MPH with no ballast in my boat. Eventually most work up to 22+/-MPH with 1800lbs of balast. |
