i've just started wakeboarding this summer and i wanted to get some input on my form. i have a few pictures for you to look at, any input into my riding form is appreciated, because i would like to break bad habits early on in my riding.

this is a picture right before i cut for a hs w2w

this is a picture right after i pop off the wake

this is a picture on my way down for a hs w2w

my main concern is that when i take off the board is quite vertical but it flattens out pretty quickly, and i end up like the 3rd picture. now the take off picture i have is pretty extreme, not all of my takeoffs leave my board that vertical. like i said any comments on rope position, body position, posture, etc is appreciated. thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. Now every time I go to cut in I remind myself to push the handle down to my waist when I come of the wake. This flatend me out and I get more air now. You have your hand way up and in the over under position. Hold the rope handle with both hands overhand. It feels funny at first but you get used to it fast. (I used to hold it that way.)

Yeah, hold the rope at your weist. When you hit the wake, push the rope down and you will: a. get better pop and b. your form will keep you from doing that.

Also keep your weight evenly distributed on both feet. I have noticed (when I am teaching people how to board) that they put their weight back when they try to jump
