i have been wakeboarding for about to years and i have a few questions still...

sorry i have so many by the way...

i have a 2002 crownline 202br and we just put an aftermarket tower on it
my board is a hyperlite motive 140 with foundation bindings

im also using an ordinary ski rope at about 60-65 feet i think?

i can jump from w2w on both edges and do 180s and surface 180s, but im not very good at surface 180s... my board has 2 center fins and 4 molded fins on the board. should i take out the center fins??

a few questions about driving the boat...

if i want my wake to be bigger, should the trim be up or anything? people say to weight in the back, but i dont have an inboard motor so my dad says its so hard to keep the speed consistent with alot of weight in the back.

one more

im currently using a ski rope, and i was wondering if a spectra rope would get me higher up in the air or something?
I just want to get more height!

oops and one more about bindings

my feet are size 11 and im using standard bindings, my feet dont hang out of the bindings or anyhing, but the bindings arnt very wide and afte rabout 10 minutes of riding they hurt my feet. keep in mid these are brand new bindings i have only used abour twice... i was wondering if they will stretch ou or if there is a safe way to strech them out? thanks.

Fins- For surface 180's, putting your weight on your heels and keeping it centered between your feet should allow you to "break loose" and spin the board all you want, but if those fins are real tall they'll probably have to come off. This will make your edging for jumping a little looser, though, so it may throw off your jumps until you get used to it. If you can get used to it, those molded fins by themselves should keep you pretty happy.

Boat- Trim it up some, put everyone in the back, and tell your driver to pay attention to the speedometer while everyone else watches. I've got an I/O, and a good driver can control the speed just fine for you with this setup. A ballast system in the back would give you even more wake, but I don't want to take up the room in my boat to have one so I do fine without it.

Rope- Get a rope specifically designed for wakeboarding. It will have non-stretch properties, and no stretching means you don't lose energy in the rope when doing a progressive edge toward the wake. More energy in the rope=higher and farther jumps.

Bindings- Lose those bindings quick. Sell them on ebay or something. Your feet swell as you ride, and no matter how much you try to stretch them or break them in, they will still swell and hurt. You'll probably end up busting on or both of them anyway if you are putting that much strain on them. Might as well replace them and take away the pain.
