I am new to wake boarding but I now have access to boat so am excited to get into it. I am 5'9" and about 170lb. I think I will need at least a 140 board but thats about it. What are good brands to look for and what are good models? I have never wake boarded before but don't want a beginner board. I catch onto stuff extremely fast and never do good starting out with beginner level stuff I like to just take something more advanced and just go for it. What board would you guys recommend, I do;t plan to do anything too extreme but will be doing jumps once I get the hang of it .
I agree with you on the beginner board, I bought a cheap beginner board and after a week I was ready for a new one. I ended up getting a Liquid Force Omega 139 with Alpha bindings for $406, also CWB has the Flame with Torq hinge bindings that is really nice for $419. Both are great boards and will carry you up from beginner to advanced. I am 6' 178lbs and the 139 fits me perfect but really its up to you but I wouldn't get anything smaller then a 135.
