Bad Idea....If you buy your board brand new there is a warning on the owners manual (Yes I read it) That says word for word...

"This isnt a surf board or a car so dont wax it!"

I would say bad idea also, I read somewhere that you shouldn't wax the bottom of you boat because it actually creates more drag so I would assume it would be the same with a wakeboard. Also you wouldn't wax the boattom of a surf board either only the top to keep your feet from slipping and since you have bindings to hold your feet in then there is no need for wax.

I've used some Nu-Finish on mine. Yes,it looked new and shiney after I was done, but I think it's a good idea just because where I ride the water is extremely hard and the Nu-Finsish helps keep some of the minerals in the water off. Plus, the board seemed to have less fricton/drag after I did it.

Nufinish doesn't have abrasives like wax, it should be fine. Glass Plus should have the same effect though, or any of the quick detailers.
