88 malibu sunsetter- My family is looking to buy something like this and turn it into a wakeboard boat possibly and i wondered if anyone knew something about them. I would add tower/system/sacs

its a good boat - i'd look for a 93 echelon lx for a few grand more if you afford it - either way this was a great boat - my brother had one just like it-
You should probably consider buying a boat with all the stuff already on it - by the time you add the tower, stereo, sacs and everything it will likely be a wash
One thing to watch out for on that boat is it does have wood floors, stringers and transom - so be sure to check for dry rot - that goes for any boat with wood in it and none of em were all fiber in that year range. |
