| does anyone have anytips on grabbing backrolls with your back hand without making them look like mexican rolls, and/or doing a method roll2revert, it seems like it should be so similar to method backroll, but I fall back on my heels every time. Something about the grab screws my landing up. |

The only way your back roll can have a back hand grab and not look mexican, is if you make a conscience effort to do so. That is not the way the trick works (physics of wakeboarding), so there isn't something you I can tell you to do to conquer your goal...except to just fight against the pull of the rope.
As for your front hand method grabs on your roll to reverts... The Roll to revert is almost like a 3/4 flip. You don't have to flip nearly as hard as your normal back roll. When you grab the trick, you tuck your body up, and spin even faster. Obviously, over-rotation is the problem if you are landing on your heels. So, try to slow down the rotation. If you have a few inverts in your bag, then you should be pretty accustomed to slowing down and speeding up your rotation. If you still need tidbits on how to do this, let me know. |
