Here is what I have accomplished this year (so far):

1. Deep water starts
2. Surface 180 to switch (inside wake at slow speeds)
3. One wake jumps HS, TS.

My issue is that I feel my recent runs I haven't been progressing as fast. My typical session starts with a good HS edge out, and a good TS edge out. Then I come back for some HS wake jumping. The goal being to get W2W HS by the end of the season. Right now I'm one wake from outside to about half way across.

This inching along sucks. What can I do to get W2W faster? Is it a matter of sacking up and going for it, taking some good falls. Or is my current approach of little by little the way?

I'm frustrated... and want that other WAKE!!! DARN IT!!!!

I think the way I learned was pretty similar to what you are doing. Each time I cut in I would cut just a little bit harder, and pop just a little bit higher. Eventually you get to about 3/4 across the wake. At which point you'll probably feel confident enough to just go for it! Very Happy

I think I also have to consider that most time we aren't on butter (to say the least), my gut tells me this scews my confidence, and also wears me out physically much faster.

Excuses I know... but it looks so easy.

Personally i think you just gotta get the balls to do it, first time i jumped the wake i went at it with everything i had, i even had a ton of slack in my rope but my speed because of my aggressive edge just shot me across the wake, now i load the line and get much better pop, but you cant be afraid of it and be aggressive

I Pretty much did what LFevo138 did! Just edged in as hard as i could and launched!, sure it looked like crap the first few times and i did fall. But! Falling is good imo, it makes you used to it, you know whats coming if you fail.

And honestly, it doesnt hurt that much. Now, eat a huge breakfast, start the boat, and just attack the wake!

have fun! Smile
