i am ready for a raley, and have attempted it 3 times so far. The first attempt i stargazed where my nose went high and ended up in an offaxis backroll type thing..... the other two tries i put more weight forward and cut in 50-50 and then stargazed to where my tail went high like a hs front or even approaching half an S-bend........scarrrryyy........ one hurt really bad.
ive deciced i dont want to flirt with it any longer, i dont feel like getting hurt.
how can i keep myself balanced in the air in the layed out position? i know i have been looking at the water when i am layed out and then begin to gaze off....
will looking at the tower really help?
what else will help me stay balanced in the layed out position?
the raley will be my 6th invert so i am really excited to learn it......any help is greatly appreicated!!!!!! |

is a raley an invert? cuz you never go upside down.......???
under the trick tips in this forum, they have "invert based", "handle pass inverts", and "raley based".
I dont think this is an invert. |

raley's are considered inverts... why... not sure. my favorite tho is when people call a hoochie glide a "superman seat grab." so sick bra.
anyway, try doing it on a wake skate first man, it's a hell of a lot less damaging to your everything.
load both feet evenly on an insanely hard and progressive edge. pop, think about extending with your butt, your feet will follow. keep an eye on the tower as that will keep you from stargazing. at the peak of your flight path, tug the handle down towards your waste, this will pull you down pretty easily. def try it on a skate first and get it dialed. this trick has a ferocious learning curve. |

you could be letting off your edge a bit early or going into the trick while still on the wake. make sure you edge completely through the wake and it will help straighten out. _________________ Random Acts Of Dumbness Will Always Be Rewarded. |
