Just wanted to let you guys know I have been checking out this forum for a few weeks now and can't believe how helpful everyone has been with helping people out so I thought I would pose a question for you guys and gals. I have only been riding for about a month now and am totally addicted. I originally bought a cheap board to see if I liked it, which I did but after only a few weeks riding the velcro straps on the bindings fell apart, so I upgraded the board and all. I am 6' 175lbs and have a 10.5" shoe size. I ended up getting a LF Omega 139 with Lg Alpha bindings( Got it from West Marine for $406 out the door). I love the board but the back binding is really tight around the toes the front is tight but not to bad. My question finally is should I have gotten the XL bindings or can I expect the bindings to break in enough to make them more comfortable? I am still learning but can land most of my W2W jumps and can ride switch pretty good now, and surface 180s with out a problem. I picked up "The Book" and learned alot quick. Sorry for being so long winded. Thanks again. Shocked

Thats what I am hoping, I guess I am just not sure how much they actually stretch when they break in.

it wont help too much with the problem of tight but i asume you have trouble getting in and out too and baby oil is the best by far

but ya its all good after about a season but then on the off season they get a little tight so if you have a chance to try the xl bindings go for it and if you like them them trade them in but other than that you cant do much hopes this helps

They are tight to get into but not impossible. I didn't think baby oil was good because it takes to long to wash out. I am going to try some diluted bio dish soap this weekend and hopefully they will be broken in alittle bit more. Last weekend we had a boat full so I didn't get to ride much, but I did get a handful of cash for gas and some friends got to learn how to wakeboard and kneeboard for the first time so it was worth it. As for trading them in I don't know what WM policy is but if it comes down to it I will look into that, otherwise I will just sell them. Thanks for the suggestions though.
