There are plenty of videos on this forum of guys landing huge tricks.

Well here's a video of a guy who's only been riding for about 1 month. No huge tricks in here, but I feel like I'm getting better every time I go out. I am definitely enjoying myself. All I think about when I'm not wakeboarding is the next time I can get out on the water.

You don't have to be a pro to have fun on a wakeboard. I'm 100% addicted and I can't ride worth a CRAP! Laughing

And for the record, I absolutely LOVE the new board. Man, what a world of difference!!!

Agree with your comments 100%.
Recognize you from the '40 Somethings' thread.
7:00am in NY - waiting for the wife & kids to wake up, then headed to the lake for the weekend. Gotta get ridin'.

P.S. Interesting career. Work w/JJ? lol Wink

HHI Dave, nice vid. What type of rope are you guys using to ride? Just asking because it looks like a springy ski rope.

The new ride is sick! Ahah, whoever told you to step up from the board that you're riding in your profile deserves a beer Very Happy . It's good to see that you're so stoked on riding, there needs to be more people that just want to have fun riding. Keep it up man.

The rope is actually a wakeboard rope, but its a very cheap one. We've pretty much worn it out. I'll be upgrading to a spectra rope very soon. Cool

And yeah, the new board is awesome. It really took some getting used to because it cuts so much harder and faster than my cheap board. It was like learning to ride all over again...and I'm still learning to ride! Laughing

Haha. Thats an amazing video.

It reminds me of my first 3 years of wakeboarding. I could only get out two or three times a year and I would get so frustrated because I could hardly progress at all, but it was so addicting I had to just keep going at it....

Love the video. It looks like some of the clips we took yesterday on my lake. I'm still learning too!

Made me feel much better about my "wakefest" this weekend! And believe me the wake won! But I put up a good fight! Bruised, banged up, whiplashed but happy! Glad to see there are other 40's out there still fighting for youth!

I'm gonna master this thing if it doesn't kill me first! Emily Copeland endorses my board.....it's gotta work, right?

Goodhands, I was concerned whether there would be any noticeable difference between my cheapie board and the CWB. My concerns were completely unneccessary. The difference was night and day!! Crazy Eyes

sloopy,

Thanks. Cool Cool Cool

Sweet Vid man and good song choice! One tip: Bend that front knee a little more and you'll be cooking with grease!

Great Video. Love the music. Took a long time to download, but read the threads and everyone raved about it, I just gotta to watch it. Great Job.

I'm another 40 something here and am fully addicted.

Excellent vid! Mid 30s-ish here and been riding since late August 05.

From one newbie to another, do some S turns outside the wake on each side for some board control help. And smooth out that wake charge a little. Cut out, pause for a second and cut back in smooth.

Thanks for the tip. I'm starting to get more used to the new board now. The way it rides and reacts is completely different from the board I was riding. Cool
