137 or 142 board?

I am buying my 1st wakeboard and wasn't sure if I should get the 137cm or 142cm board. The manufactorer says the 137 board is good for riders weighing up to 165, the 142 board is for riders 165 and up. Any suggestions and/or explanations why one board would be better than the other?

My weight: 170
Height: 5' 8"
Experince: Have riden 3-4 times

If I were you I'd be looking for something around 140, unless your still growing. In my experience, It's easier to control a board that's sized right for you. Small boards are twitchier on the water, while a big board you'll lose it in the air. But it's all a matter of preference, I know a guy who's 5'5" and rides a 144, and I know another guy who's 6'3 and rides a 137.

Is one board gonna bet that much harder to ride than the other? I dont want to improve as a riderand have to buy a new rig next season. a

id go with the 142 but really its all personal preference im 6'0 143lbs and ride a 138 oh im in columbia where do you ride down there

Just bought the 137, I am in Charleston. Trying to find pulls right now. I rode w/ the lakemurray rough riders a few weeks ago. Where you there? I got gas money if you wanna give me a pull one sat or sunday.
