i demo'd a board as suggested by so many people since there is a heavy price tag on a board that i dont even know if i like.

anywho. its a HUGE step up from my beginner LF search. before my search when i hit the wake, i sorta just glided through, then had a gentle landing.

now with this board i get rocked skyward, feels like i hit a wall.of water, i can really feel this board take off. awsome response. i really like the 4 fin design . when edging it turns on a dime, yet its gentle enough that i never caught any harsh edges. i really like the stubby length and wider base.

overall i give it a 9.5/10
-.5 points cause i didnt like the damn jesus looking picture on the top

with my only comparison being the fish and the search, and the stance

anywho ive got the board for the weekend so if i like it just as much as i did today, ill give it a new home

Dip_Krew, all the pictures on the top of the board are different. chances are when you decide to buy the board you will be buying a new one (as opposed to the demo board you rode), so the picture will be different.

Try other boards if you can. Even if they only have LF available.

If they have more than LF available, you may want to check out another brand so at minumum you can have a point of reference.

If they only have LF, maybe give the Watson or PS3 a shot, or maybe a board like the Substance.

Enough with the word.

Don't you know Shane Bonifay is now uncool and by extension you are also uncool for liking his board?

Besides the Watson is where it is at, he is still cool.

Word.....

Does the Shane come with a box of tissues?

Go with the Watson...or even better, the Absolute. Shane's a fag.

im very heavy for supporting my local board shop, i wont go anywhere else without seeing if i can get it through them first, even if it costs more. i get special privliges there cause i buy so much gear, boards, tubes, fat sacs, clothes ect..

they dont usually offer to demo a board but he gave me the bennifit of the doubt on this one cause i was iffy about it.

so yeah the board i rode was brand freakin new.

they also had a Ps3 there which i was going to ride but i chose the bonifay board cause it was a 132, the ps3 was 138.

they had a watson last week which was what i was going for but it got sold when i came in today.

as far as a price tag, i wont say how much cause its not listed price that im getting it for. but its still a substantial chunk of change.

i belive on the net they are going for about 400US. then to ship to canada and duty add that, basically im getting the price of the board minus everything. its a very good deal.

and yes i know shane is knob. but i ride what i like, not who i like. i enjoy this board and ill probally buy it. i dont really care if adolf hitler endorses it.

im going to try the hyperlite state saturday when i go out with them just to try a different company but i think my mind is made up.

Dude... why support your local shop if they rip the pants off you? Of course they're nice to you when you buy so much from them. Laughing I got my board and bindings for like $300 CDN and no it's not a hydroslide. But anyway, just saying... shops here rip us off.

they dont rip me off, infact once i started going there their prices for me started becoming very competitive with internet pricing. also i love what they have done for the local scene here, they bought in a pro open wake tour, the o'neil wake tour and i belive there is another stop comming. they are doing much more then just selling boards. plus they are out on the water almost every day helpin people out, giving them pointers, ect.. they are nice people and i like to support local buinesses. plus one of the owners and i played hockey together so hes a friend of mine.

Dip_Krew, i demoed the shane watson and ps3 at the beginning of the summer. i narrowed it down to the watson and shane. then picked the shane because i found it was a little loser and i liked the cupped side fins on it. i found teh watson and shane to be very similar. the watson was a little faster but i felt i got a little better pop with the shane. the shanes a great board and i would recommend it to anyone. i love it.

Dip_Krew, do they have any CWB's in their shop?

If so I would truly at least give them a try. It's a night and day difference. I have a bunch of friends who are about the level you are, and they can't stand riding my buds Bonifay. But love riding my Absolute. Even beginner girls like my board. Which should be huge on them, it's controllable enough for them.

Congrats either way on stepping up to a new board!!
