I think I'm ready for a wrapped KGB. Here is my plan: 1. Get wrapped and comfortable 2. Do a normal backroll 3. Let go of the small handle once I'm inverted 4. Hang on for dear life...

Any tips would be appreciated..

Rob

sounds good, but I think you are supposed to throw the backroll mexican style

Yep! You may want to practise some of those first cuz the rotation is really fast and the rope tension is alot tighter. I'm about ready to try these two but:
1. I don't have a wrap handle.
2. I have not decided wether i think a wrapped KGB or a Roll2Blind is harder.

Key to a wrap KGB-- come off your edge at the wake. When you do that, the roll will almost go mexican by itself. Try a few wrapped blind 360s first, make sure that you get the feel of the handle spinning you, its a different feeling than a handle pass 360.
If you are still edging like a normal backroll when you leave the wake, you will spin out of control and the handle will get ripped from your hands, I've seen it happen many times. Coming off your edge will loosen the tension on the rope and allow you to be unwrapped in a controlled manner. Another good tip, look where you want to be. My main problem on wrapped blind 3s is that I'm looking for the landing, not where I'm going, and I always get pulled out the front because my chest drops.
Keep the handle at the hip its wrapped on until you are about to land, then put it more at the center of your body.
Hope this helps some, I have never tried a KGB, but have watched many, many people do them and know the physics involved in it.

Tiffantor, you're probably going out the front on the wrapped bs 3 from spinning to early off the wake.

i have the samne problem on my handle pass blind 3's sometimes. If i spin them to early off the wake my chest drops and i end up landing on my face. Actually not that bad of a fall though.
