Ok so today was my first time wakeboarding and thankfully I got up the second time and everytime after that. So now that getting up is out of the way, I have two questions. When I'm going straight my back foot wants to slide around and then I do a nasty face plant, which hurts by the way, how do I aviod that. Also toeside edging is more difficult than heelside, how can i learn to be more comfortable toeside edging?

putting more weight on your back foot should prevent the faceplants i think... not really sure what the problem is... and heelside is naturally easier... just feel it out is really all i can tell ya

You're pulling the rope square to your chest, your back foot is just following your hands, get the rope down to hip level and on your lead hip, this will give your body the twist it needst to straighten the board. I let go with my back hand to make it easier, try letting that.

Do you have the fins on your board? If not, that may be what is causing the back foot to slide around. I didn't take mine off for a while until I learned more board control.

yeah i have one fin on each side of the board... so to fix the turning problem just keep the handle in closer to my lead hip?

When I was first learning I also set my stance further back on the board, not directly centered.
