Does any body know anything about this boat? wake size, engine, specs is this 1994 205 worth $18,500. We are looking for a step up and want to spend about that much. Does this boat throw a nice wake when weighted? If anyone could post some replies that would be greatly appreciated! _________________ YOyo Tacoma really blows if yur talkin about good weather! |

| I don't know if I would pay that much for a 94. How many hrs are on it? They come with a couple of engine options for that model. The wake should be decent if you put some sacs in it. I use to have a '00 205, and it sat on the same hull as the x-star. It had the 310hp preditor engine. When we would put sacs and lots of people in it, it had a great wake. Good luck. |

| That seems a little high for that boat. I bought a '93 Pro Star 205 with the corvette LT-1 engine last year with only 190 hrs. on it for $14,500. Right now I am running about 900 lbs. in back and 300 up front plus people and the wake is pretty good. It's not huge, but it has decent size. The wake is very clean though. Mastercraft makes quality boats and I don't think you will be dissapointed. I would definitely talk the guy down on the price though. You could probably find a '97 205 for that much if you look hard enough, which would throw a bigger wake because it has the same hull as the old X-Star (X-2 now). Anyways, good luck. |

Have a 94 model with 329 hp Corvette LT-1 motor (multi-point injected). Throws a decent wake especially with bodies up front. Am adding a 700lb rear sac and 350lb front sac this season but haven't tried out yet.
If interested in slalom ski-ing too, wake is real small at 32+ but some say is bigger than Prostar 190 in mid-upper 20's speeds so not so good for beginners/intermediates. |

| thats too high, i got my 94 with a tower, 4 blade prop, new interior 800hr for 14,700. So work the guy down, the wake is nice, but it needs weight, im gonna try fatseat in rear, n 540 in ski locker filled as much as possible. |

PimpinD,
Ski locker is too small to have front sac located therein to balance a fat seat. Locker is only 70X10x10 inches. The max volume of water is contained within a 70x10x10 space is 7000 cubic inches which is 260lb. This is the absolute maximum and, to allow for the volume taken up by any sac you use and it's shorter length (most are 60-66 inches) I reckon 4750 cu inch or 175 lb is more realistic. Thus the achievable weight in a ski locker is a lot less than half of a even a 500lb sac in the rear. With a fat seat being much larger than this, you'll probably need another sac up front as well as that in the locker. |
